Rhodes and Crete

On Rhodes we chose just to ride the bikes that were available on the ship rather than visit Lindos. We found a small ruin and lots of friendly goats.

Herakleion is the major port on Crete and it is the ruins of the Great Palace of Knossos that we have come to see.

Knossos is famous for its frescoes. You can see reproductions at the site, which were in better shape in 1982 than they were when we returned in 1997.
